Hi Art friends, my name is Tab 👋

For as long as I can remember, I've been making art and watching sci-fi...LOTS of it. I've been in and out and around the art industry for years. From managing a creative space in Brisbane's trendy West End, to running holiday Art workshops for kiddies & the occasional sip and paint. Art is where it's at for me. 

I've always admired Upcycled art ever since I first came across it on social media, and had been keen to have a go myself. The opportunity came one cold night when arriving home only to discover a beautiful classic 70's landscape in a gilded frame lying on the ground for kerbside collect. This was the moment I'd been waiting for! 

The Upcycled Side was born when I realised that other people were just as excited by seeing their fave sci-fi characters in vintage landscapes as I was! Honestly, upcycling is addictive, and I love that old pieces that aren't in fashion anymore can have a brand new start and be enjoyed by another generation in a new way.
